I just reached the max designed level and I have some comments.

Tainted trixter is correct that there could be more stuff between space and the end, it is basically empty.

Also, wood is better than gunpowder, leave that stuff alone.

The stone transport capabilities of your elephant are the only real bottleneck that is left. I recommend adding some kinda crane thing on the side of the building, like a butchery with rails in the roof to slide large quantities of rock to the cutter.

Golden bricks are almost always worth it, when you consider how much of your building is going to be already built. At some point, you can reliably build back to where you were every reset within minutes. That is with or without the science boost to just have completel levels.

In space, I recommend additional stone-harvesting from asteroids. That is, not stone being put on the quarry pile, but a platform in space to resume the stone making cycle there, with the ground stone being used to dig deeper instead.

An addition to resets could be a transcension-like mechanic allowing for world-transitioning portals to be built in geostationary orbit. There, exotic new ressources could be used to continue building values.

Overall not even close to as fun as the cogwheel games, but it could get there with some more depth.

Generally a great game, with some balancing issues, I assume.
I don't know, whether I am doing something wrong (or too right) but I have several zeptillion coins in the bank, the purple hexagon coins lag my browser whenever I am near, and the Interest rate is highly exploitable.

Also, literally thousands of thousands of balloons.
Also, is there any advantage to splitting up cog-chains? Are there any diminishing returns?
Please tell me, if I borked something.

GeneralVimes responds:

Thank you!
Sorry for the answer delay, I was making the new, underwater world for the game, the core was drastically rebuilt and here it is: http://www.airapport.com/2018/05/20-000-cogs-under-sea-beta-testing.html

I totally agree about the current balance flaws. I'm going to add a friction coefficient, or something, which will make the player create more interesting strictures of cogs, not just chains. But in the curent model chains are the most optimal.

It is quite short, but in my opinion, the general consensus on more days being added before the payoff is wrong.
It would be far more satisfying to watch the world sink even MORE into the deep end of whereever it is going.

If there is too much buildup, it becomes tedious and we get it, office work is boring. no need for a full work week to get THAT part.
At the very most, halven the rate of things going to hell and continue double that amount onwards.

This would quadruple the content and add two stars to my review.

I can SEE the moving menu boxes for this. Unfortunately, it seems that it is not entirely looping correctly. This MAY be because of my browser but it is rather jarring. For actual use in a menu, this may need aditional editing.

Codefreq responds:

I appreciate that my intent came through as much as I hoped. :)

As far as looping is concerned, I made sure to loop the audio twice in one file so it could be downloaded (for anyone I chose to send it to) and edited to loop properly. If you’re referring to what I think you’re referring to, the gap at the end is due to the website. Every loop I’ve come across on NG has that problem.

Hey, I wanna use the full track with a 3d visualization I am currently rendering. Is that ok with you?
( example render: https://www.reddit.com/r/blender/comments/fjjq2c/preview_rendering_of_another_visualizer_experiment/)
Also, this is extremely catchy with clean audio and not too many special effects. Simple, agressive and you can basically see a swordfight in your head when listening. Very nice overall.

Edit cause i am not sure how else to respond: No problem, I kinda figured from how empty everything connected to this track seems to be. Are y'all or you or whoever did this still active? I would love to follow you whereever you may be active because this is great work.

margarine responds:

Sorry, I rarely log in here! Yes, of course, that's fine. Sorry if I'm months out of date now.

I feel like the bass is just fine, but the beginning is a biiiit simple. There may be some value in adding some chords or attack there.

Jack of all trades in progress.
